FooWar is a not-for-profit startup advisory group that occasionally angel invests. Our aim is to create a pay-it-forward mentorship culture to support fast growing S+SEA based startups, with a special focus on India, Indonesia and Singapore.

We have successfully scaled tech for multiple products to post-unicorn stage, and we'd like to help others avoid the mistakes we've made along the way.

Backstory

The four of us have collaborated as friends, co-founders and colleagues for over a decade. Our startup was acquired by South East Asian superapp GO-JEK in its infancy in 2015. In the four years since, we've had the rare privilege of helping build one of the few hypergrowth product businesses that didn't start in a first world market.

We've helped scale GO-JEK from freshly minted Series A startup to unicorn in 18 months and from 8K orders/day to more than 3M orders/day in just under 3 years. We helped build a distributed tech division of 500+ folks across several countries that made all of this possible.
